Hello again

I have just come back from spending a weekend away sewing with one of my quilting groups.  It was a lovely weekend, very relaxing and lots of sewing, talking and eating! 

One of the things that i love about a weekend like this is that I get the chance to make progress on all those projects I have started.  This weekend I managed to achieve so much.  I always seem to have lots of different projects 'on the go' at any one time and it is lovely to be able to sit down and work my way through them.  

I finished a quilt for my sister in laws birthday gift - just a very simple nine patch alternating block with simple stippling quilting.  It was so quick to do and I know that she will love it - the colours are the ones she loves!  It will be making it's way over to Western Australia in the next few days.  Here are a couple of pictures of the quilt:

Introducing myself

Hello everyone

Well, here I am!  

This is the first of what I hope will be many posts.  I am interested in quite a few different crafts, but my first craft passion is patchwork and quilting.

I have been quilting for a few years now and just love it.  I belong to two different friendship quilting groups - I have made many friends through my quilting and love the sharing that comes with quilting.

My plan for this blog is to talk about the quilting I am doing  as well as providing some tutorials. I will be selling craft items and fabric through ETSY and when I post a tutorial I will make sure that the majority of items required will be available in my ETSY shop.  I hope that you will all join me in this new and exciting journey.
